He's supposed to be the reason for the season....but, if you passed him on the street, would you look away, rendering him invisible? Would you hurry your step, and clutch your posessions closer? Would you cross the street with your family to avoid him? Would you sit next to him on a bus? Would you share a bit of bread, or wine, or fish with this man? If he walked among us....would you?

Oh, Mahna. I would be lying if I said I did not want to evoke a tear, or two. But, in these times, so many have so much other stuff on their plates...As a religious war tears up our world, we forget the reason. Instead, we worry about parking spots, lane changes, and, tightening our belts. If he walks among us...he can make us food, and, shelter, and, serene, if we deserve it. he gives us companionship, if we can accept it..and, great fine creatures for pets. i could go on and on. must be the spirit of christmas polluting my poppi practicallity. best to you, on this very strange christmas eve. Pop...Pop...Poppi!!!
