Description

This is what they call a glory hole in the glass art. Here is where they will put the glass into that hole and rest the holder on the stuff on the left side as you can see. Then the glass will melt to where they can blow the glass. They have to heat up the kelt up for 24 hours before they can melt the glass; so I have to wait intill tomorrow to get them melting the glass and blowing it. I never saw this so I learning just like you. thanks for looking and reading and comments ;plus votes if you wish

Fantastic shot Jock! I saw a special about Chihuly's glass. They showed lots of interesting, fun things about all they have to do to blow the glass into fabulous artwork. It was awesome. Can't wait for you next pic! V (:

Dont want to tell ya what I thought this was at first lol Anyway there is something very historic looking bout this piece and your POV lighting and cropping give it a very abstract feel to it. I wonder what kind of reaction you would have gotton if you had not told us what it was????? Beautiful Abstract work of art in my opinion Also beautiful work of historic art as well

It gets really hot in there so watch out. I always wondered what would happen if they sucked in the hot air instead of blowing through the pipe. This is cool as an abstract shot and looks to be an interesting series as well.
