Description
I enjoy vintage cars and pin up girls, so I use them alot. Posed in DAZ, rendered in Lightwave, background photo is the road to Hilo on the Big Island. Still trying to get the textured figures to look better in LW, as is the same in DAZ, figures with uv maps look better close up, and less realistic as they move away in perspective... eventually I may figure out the solution to this puzzle. For your consideration, I thank you.

nice work on her reflection on the car.

I love the lighting in this - superb:). I know what you mean about the texture - have the same problem in D|S. You could try turning up the glossy setting to 100%. That will take the plastic look off the skin a bit. Some people suggest using the Skin lighting model if you haven't already, although I find this adds a redder hue to the skin which has to be balanced by adding blue or green to the specular colour.

These bring some things to light: 1. I tried to resolve the distortion in the reflection on the fender to little or no avail. 2. I actually tweaked the skin setting to be more glossy, and added a shader to it - because it looked so flat, fake and chalky - even after twisting the dials for the LW texture settings for some time. I do use the skin settings for the DAZ renders, and find them to be quite useful.
