I was born in Zimbabwe on 03/06/88. My family, consisting of parents, older brother and sister, migrated to South Africa when I was six months old. We moved back to Zimbabwe six years later, to help my grandparents on their farm - a career change for my father.
After a measly eighteen months we upped sticks and went farming on our own. This led us to Kwekwe, in the heart of Zimbabwe, to farm tobacco! Borrowdale farm which is part of the "Midlands Black Rhino Conservancy" is where we settled . This was the most incredible experience, living with such an abundance of wild life ........... of which we became a part of during the school holidays! Due to the "land redistribution policy" we had no option but to move on.
10th November, 2001 saw us arrive in New Zealand with our former lives packed into a suitcase each, ready to start our new lives. Our first three years were spent on the South Island and I nearly froze!!!!!!! A great employment opportunity for my father had us move up to the North Island. I now live on a farm just outside Matamata aka "Hobbiton" (defrosting).
Yep that should sum it up ha!

Very beautiful, impressive and masterful! Like the softness of shadows and sepia here very much. Great symbolism and overall impression. Bravo!

What really grabs me here is the positioning of the gloves! I love the sepia ... it's an awesome still-life!

Nice work.

Very inventive compo, nice coloring and textures. I like it very much! But then I look at the background and it just doesn't fit, it breaks the story; grass and clover (?) What's the connection with the tools? Am I digging too deep?

EXCELLENT!!! oh well my opinion is: First the shot is amazing.. and it has an awesome and super abstract concept.. Now... lets go back to the subject.. If i were you.. I would manipulate that shot.. First.. Extract the back ground from the main subjects and objects.. Grungy will work fine tho.. specially the dirty looking brushes.. Some blood on the background like little splashes.. some blood brushing (REALASTIC) on the objects.. and it can be one the best DARK shots or posts.. ever.. it can work as a movie poster as well, that only if the shot was vertical.. hummm.. we can call it the: HANDS, THE GLOVES, THE CUT, THE TOOL and such ;) After all this is another masterpiece from you.. and big vote with excellent ranking.. Thank you.
