Description
Living in the mountains i drive alot of small steep roads..well last night on my way home about 8 miles from home i crossed a cleared mudslide and got stuck in the mud about halfway across the slide area..as i drove up it looked fine,a nice smooth surface,,well it was about 2 feet deep in mud and big rocks..i was instantly stuck up to my doors in mud..engine still running i started rocking the car and made about 10 feet of progress before my clutch took a shit..now i was really screwed..late saturday night on a road seldom traveled stuck in a viscus muddy slide and no cell phone...i sat for about an hour before a fellow named John came around the corner in his truck..he had a phone and we called ,he couldnt get thru the slide cuz i was blocking the road so he left..2 hours later he returned with the tow truck following him,,he had shovels and boots and jumped right in and got muddy helping me..it was pretty hard on my car(honda delsol)as we drug it out of the mud ripping most of the undercarriage protectors off and scratching the heck out of my paint..covered from head to toe in mud we finally got it loaded on the truck and towed it home.got home after midnight....
i would like to thank this stranger John who Helped so much..its people like him that make an experience like i had have a good side too.
