It's the angle of the sun that makes this image. The light hitting the canopy of trees at that angle gives the effect of brilliant mid-day sunshine. The scene is well constructed and the trees in the foreground add interest and a depth to the image. First class image, one of the best landscape images I have seen using VI. Only one observation and that is that the trees in the mid ground appear, to me at least, smaller than the trees behind and to the right slightly spoiling the awesome depth and perspective imho. Not enough images of this quality using VI on this site. VOTE!
