Aww, what a little cutie. You should have reached out to touch her, they feel like filt. A couple of buddies of mine have an ostrich-farm and i just love petting those little devils. They sure like to bite though, but since they have no teeth it only pinches....but when they get a hold of your inner-thigh...oh wee....then it really HURTS!!!!! #:o/

you could have lost a finger also!! they are strange birds but beautiful in their unique way. many people raise Emu's locally for restaurants. I tried it once and did not find it to my liking. excellent capture

An excellent portrait with a very nice color tone. That beak seems to be able to ruin your lens, but obviously it didn't! :)
