Description

Just a little railroad station in a little upstate NY town. :-) I dedicate this to the great "Guys" in the group who love to play with trains. lol You are all so terrific and I learn so much from you. My Dad worked for the railroad and I've always loved to travel by train. I had the hardest time deciding whether to upload this one, the sepia, the black and white or the postworked edition on this. I finally went with the original. I hope you all like it... sorry more snow in the forcast! lol I'll be posting snow pictures in July at this rate!! Egads! Anyway, thank you all SO SO SO much for putting up with my continuing winter shots and for the very fun and kind comments on my Winter Unicorn picture. You all make me *beam* with happiness! I agree with Evie that we should still believe, and I'd love to see a unicorn with a little Fae on it's back Pat! (hint hint) lol I enjoyed every one of your comments very much... Sharp-eyed travleler notes they were mass-produced in the same basic style and shape around the country, like MacDonald's. The RR's also were responsbile for standardized time.

Lol,you sound just like me...I'll do all these different versions and make myself crazy trying to figure out which one to go with!Actually,I do that with almost every single effect in PS.Boy,do I love that program!Anyway, this is wonderful,Maggie!!!They should have this hanging inside...What I like best is it's timeless quality. This could easily have been taken 40 years ago.I love the way the white of the roof blends with the white sky...I think that's what gives it that nostalgic feel. And your POV is perfect! The perfect combo of verticals and horizontals...Brilliant work,Sweetie!A definate fave for me!-M :^)

One of the most pretty railroad station I've seen ! I love this sort of construction in wood, with so much charachter. And the world was more "human" when this one was in service.... I like all the old trains too, so elegant and full of histories. A superb shot Maggie ! Hugs. V

I love it just the way it is. outstanding capture. one of our members lives in a converted train station in NY and this reminds me of his. he even has an old box car sitting on a spur. his name is Chris--Kitchaos probably spelled it wrong

A wonderful old building and reminder of past heritage. My, the way the snow sticks to the brick looks COLD. It makes me so thankful I live in the "banana belt" of Oregon. Superb, Maggie, a wonderful image!
