Thanks. There's a lot of "street work" around here (boulevard magenta/paris).So I see everyday The transmutation & the workers. Applying the tarmac is the ultimate action. Something close from a vulcano eruption...

Holy Crap!! He's smoothing it by hand, that close?! That sure is a great way of getting burnt. It's a fascinating image yet scary too. My younger sister fell onto some of that stuff when she was a baby. It burnt her up pretty badly.

Excellent shot of a very hot and dangerous job. Most of the roads in the USA are paved with what we call 'blacktop' or 'Aspahlt' which is just a tar and rock substance and is put down with large trucks and equipment. I've never seen it done by hand, as it's such a hot and terrible job.
