Description
G'day. This is number 2 of a series on areas around Sydney, Australia. This is the headland called "Cape Banks" just south of La Perouse and the headland in the distance is the entrance to Botany Bay (where Captain Cook first landed in Australia in the 1780's = Australias first European settlement was established in 1788 at Sydney Cove). To the east of this coast lies the Tasman Sea and its over 2000km of open ocean before reaching the northern tip of New Zealand.
