And this wraps up my tribute to Debbi.
Remember that convention I met her at?
I took her to an Iowa SF convention to meet my friends there.
(You saw some of them in images a few months ago.)
Debbi was especially interested in Arthur,
a shy gentleman who also worked in stained glass.
Flash forward to the next local SF convention.
Six of us were sharing a suite-- my wife Karen and I, Les and Jeanette, Debbi, and Arthur.
Karen, Les, and Jeanette were all aware of Debbi's interest in Arthur,
so all were silent conspirators as I made sleeping arrangements.
"Karen and I will be in the main room, Les and Jeanette in the loft....
Um, Debbi, Arthur? You guys okay sharing the third room?"
Debbi was behind Arthur so he couldn't see her happily nodding.
I think he was busy blushing.
They did a LOT of talking that weekend.
A month or so later, Debbi announced she was moving to Iowa City.
She and Arthur have been married now for about 15 years. They've got a couple kids.
It was definitely a very profitable weekend.

Lovely photo of Debbi. Iowa City? I once lived there for six months with a girl. I had to move back to Denver after six months of that cuz she was too busy at law school and I couldn't find any weed there...silly me

The whole Hot20 thing was the result of a troll who hated the Debbi series with a passion, He apparently hacked the voting in order to hold my work up to public ridicule. It didn't work.
