Description
Seeing this as an urgent prod, he edged forward the final few steps and reached up. The light was captivating, and as his fingers broke its rays, his hand glowed red as each ray penetrated his skin. It did not burn but stirred in his heart something even more wonderful. So hot, like the sizzling sun, his whole chest seemed to reach out in greeting to the power emanating from the Stone. A flicker of memory stirred of him by the lake with Brandor, when the old fellow had first ignited that inner Light within. Wondering if he had planted it there for this exact reason, he put the questions down for now, his attention returning to his outreached hand. Warm to the touch, the stone
