"Best of Mates" I would like you to meet two friends of mine, Yellow Budgie and Grey Budgie (Hows that for original names). They have retained their wild state and mostly keep to themselves. I let them out everyday and they have a great time flying around the kitchen and family room. I enjoy watching them flying around as they get into all sorts of mischief. They are great mates except for when I put them to bed for the night. Both of them want to sleep on the same perch for the night and this results in a lot of annoyed sounds that only Budgies make. There is lots of threatening pecks at each other until the issue is resolved a long time later. Next morning they are the best of mates once again until the next bedtime. I took this shot when they were in the middle of arguing for the best perch position. The Grey Budgie has it and is determined to stay there while Yellow Budgie wants it badly and is trying to push in.
