Description

First of all I wish to offer my apologies for the starkness of this scene. I had big plans for this image, but I am crippled by my non open GL piece of crap computer that I haven't even paid off yet. Although the advancements in all the software is phenomenal, I fear I will soon have to give up in disgust. I'm just not happy with creating simple images anymore. That being said, I just implore you to look beyond my pitiful render and see the lovely Orange Tree that Benettor has created. Available in the Marketplace soon. Thank you for viewing.

It's not that bad a render. But some variation in the trees would have helped

Yeah, i saw a lot of excellent stuff from you the last time. So i do not understand really. And this is not as bad as you talk it at all - great presentation of a great product.

Render in sections--make a backdrop first, make it a flat object, then make some middleground objects and apply them to terrains to get a little depth to them (rochr has a tutorial), then put the 3d items in the foreground! Speeds up rendering a lot--you can also composite in psp or Photoshop (Which I prefer because you can do fun effects without straining the computer). If you are tricky your POS computer will be fine! (I have a ladder here someplace for those oranges;-)

Shari, when I first learned about computer graphics, we told how if we punched the right values into a stack of cards and turned the cards into the campus computing center, in a day or so we'd have a line drawing. And that was not that long ago, really. So relax. Your work is fine!

The composition is awesome! I do not know your technology situation, but I have already seen much creativity and inventiveness in your gallery, I have no doubt you will over come you technology constraints. Often there are ways to optimize renders, in Byrce I have to shut a lot of things off, to speed up the render. This is a fine image, and you have a lot of talent!
