Description

Another experiment in texturing..I have long admired Dan Kuzmenka's stellar skills in this area, and then, much later, encountered Heather's similarly stellar work, and at her urgings, am persisting with explorations. If I am not entirely succeeding, I am at least learning, and am larger than I was. Thanks for all views and any commentary. Uf and PhotoShop..

This is beautiful. I love the pattern on the fractal.

I like your progress with textures. IMHO you should try to make the textue look attached to the fractal shapes, not just layed over the whole thing. That means e.g. texture has to follow the shapes in size and scale - or get dark where the shapes get dark.

You are doing very well Daniel and from your experience so far with texture you know it takes time and a lot of hard work to get it right. Your sheer determination and hard work will pay off. I agree with Andreas on this but this will come in time. Enjoy experimenting with texture. Every time you do you'll learn something new ;)

Excellent spiral form and lighting! And your texture pattern rocks, too - I keep getting hung up using fbm this and perlin that. THIS is a unique and nifty pattern.
