Description

As I walk from my home towards Whitby town, This Church stands high, at a place called Raw Pasture. It was a beautiful eventime when I took this shot! Just as it is tonight. Sheep graze in the church yard... It is a very gentle way of keeping the grass down... Have a peacefilled evening everyone. Thank you so for looking and for treasured comments. Diane.

Wonderful, Di! The great sky (which is absolutely awesome)above the church gives the image just the right proportions. The tower stretches towards the infinite sky, and one can almost feel the established contact with the power up there. By the way, beautiful light on the cross to the left of the church. A most interesting shot! But, I have to say, the sheep haven't done a very well job with the grass! :)

I think I see the famous celtic cross there on the left ;-) You know, in Dutch, we still call every cemetary a church yard (kerkhof), even if it's miles away from any church. This looks like a very small church, but such a lovely place, and a wonderful capture. Have a nice week, Diane!
