what is interesting about this image it's a total absence of any fencing/protecting devices on a gallery/promenade... there are garbage cans though... haow interesting! as if after you dump your garbage out you can fearlessly step over the edge...

I am no fan of Henry Miller but he had one nearly perfect color metaphor at the beginning of Cancer (was it?) which described a certain sky to a tee. Where are the pigeons then? One was contemplating a box of Ritz Crackers just today, but that was in the context of northern Florida, hehe.

When all the world sleeps quiet In the suburb-dormitories The zonards are seen To go down on the city Who rapes the girls The evening in the carparks? Who puts fire at the building? Always zonards Then... It is panic on the boulevards When one arrives downtown When the underground city Is plunged in the black People who walk there Arise on stretchers (starmania) Well done my friend ;) good monday and kiss

Surely this in an overlay of two images, right? I can't imagine they would leave the dust bins right there to blow away with the slightest wind...

Incredible job of matching two images! That must have taken forever to clip out whatever this patio originally looked onto. Good choice of perspectives and color/light balances for the two source images.

This is the exact reason I live in the country...too much concrete for me..although I love shots like this, I can't be confined by massive buildings, too claustrophobic for me..nice tones in this shot Kort..great job! Aloha~

Nice juxtaposition of vanishing points & presumably views from much different elevations. But the universe doesn't expand forever. It's cyclic, going through periods of expansion followed by periods of contraction. Timing is everything...

A very interesting image full of the ambience of a concrete and stone and steel and glass world. The overcast sky and the slight differences in vanishing points within each image work well together for this urban ceation. Wonderful composition and creativity.

I'm getting vertigo looking at this picture. I'm drawn to the edge. I would surely fall off if I was to go out there.

Original work, Kort! The vertigo feeling might make me withdraw from this scene a bit but I guess it will be pretty safe though! There are those living in the country who find themselves living in the city in a matter of time, but fortunately there are still remote places that will remain remote for a long time!
