Description


This once marvelous family home is located in the southwestern section of Halifax County, near the rural community of Salem, North Carolina. The image was captured on February 10th of 2006, at 2:52pm, using a Nikon D50 outfit. Have an incredibly excellent day!

The nice thing about comments (and thankee) is they embrace curiosity. Life in this ancient dwelling would have been exciting. The wooden construction adds to a tinder box, though perhaps North Caroline is blessed with a sufficiency of rain to keep everything safely dampened? If so is the roof really formed from corrugated metal? Hail and rain would bring a splendid and lively cacophony (thank goodness for spell chequers - that fooled it). Anyway a few absolutely irrelevant thoughts before saying I like and the sunless day suits the intent of the image.
