Looks like you are off to a running start with Maya! This is somehow begging to be animated. It reminds me of the plasma balls. Fun image.

Hey Dan this is great stuff. This looks like a really fun thing to play with. I'm not sure you've ever seen "Bumble Balls" but they move erratically and jump about, great fun. You've done really well and created an interesting object with nice use of colour and light. Nice.
