Ah!! I like the composition here..... the background iamge is cool too...... infact it's really warm. Since you post under Religious/Spiritual I want to add a note to it. Let me add in the very begining... I am not a Christian...... I am a pure rationalist but I love the essence of all religion. To me religion is like us humans..... diff in form, shape and color but when you cut it deep.....the blood is the same..... ( I know it is not, if you put it under a microscope.... just symbolically speaking!!) If I am to understand the Cross as posted by you here.... it is more a symbol of faith, sacrifice, compassion too... for the last words from Jesus was filled with anguish and pain .....not for his self...... but for his tormentor........ he looks up the sky and says.... Forgive them Father for they know not what they are doing. It is really very touching and speaks well of the Messiah!! The symbolism here is.... despite so much pain, torture, assault and anguish..... he had compasion in his heart for his tormentor which was actually showing as anguish in his face. In the final act he seeks his fathers forgivness. So, my personal feeling is..... in the end ... we are not really alone........ If there is a god....he will be with you.:O))

'Father, father, why have you forsaken me'... I feel like that too sometimes... All alone... but I know it's not the end. 'Nothing really ends' (hey, that's the title of a song by dEUS!). Beautiful composition, Goha! And of course, a wonderful background image by our beloved Diane (rainbows).

Precious Goha, this little line of scripture is much deeper and more meaningful than most people know. Jesus was not making a statement of dispair or asking why the Father had forsaken him. He was quoting the first line of Psalm 22. That Psalm (which Jesus knew very well) starts with the cry of being forsaken, but that's just the opening. The rest of the passage gives detailed prophesy of the death of the Messiah including the piercing of the hands and feet, the casting lots for the clothes and much more. Most importantly, at the end of verse 21 it also declares "You (God) have answered Me." and the rest of the passage speaks of the ultimate glory that comes from God's deliverance. Jesus knew this passage was about Him, His death, His ressurection and victory. It was a quote from a passage of victory, not of despair. Your image is beautiful and Diane's sky is perfect for it. All together, it is a true blessing. Thank you :-)

It is when we are in our solitude that we are the nearest to God. Thoughtfully composed image, Goha!
