Description

After climbing the steps I found that they really led to a very small path, and found it quite exceptional that so mush time and effort would be put into the beautiful work of building these steps - to where?

The stairs and the shadows play a nice geometric pattern. I would have been tempted to name this one as...... Staircase to Heaven.;)

Small paths had a much greater importance in the old days. Before there were cars everywhere, these paths were the only connection between you and the rest of the world. Many of these paths have now disappeared, especially field and wood paths, 'cos they haven't been used anymore. I'm sure these stairs weren't useless at the time. And how beautiful they were made (and photographed!)

Superb capture, the dappled light is so kool, there is a small park in the middle of Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, which has old convicts stonework throughout it's wandering paths...great work ~Cheers~ :o)
