Once again at Kilauea volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii. This is where the lava flow stopped in 1994.

I have only been close to an area effected by a volcano of recent activity once in the Filipines. it was quite an experience. excellent capture and very interesting subject

@chrysaor: It doesn't look like A'a flow to me, but I'm no expert on lava. There are some rope coils, so I think it would be sheet pahoehoe.
