Description

The Kuwaiti economy is in great shape. Oil prices have been high for nearly four years; the government is running huge budget surpluses, despite public spending hikes that are stimulating the economy; and the opening up of Iraq has seen Kuwait emerge as the thriving gateway to perhaps the greatest investment opportunity on the planet. Domestically, investment is booming now that the threat of Saddam Hussein has been removed.

Interesting photo... although I can't help but feel we are looking at something that has been manipulated into existence by people who... never mind... Nice work +++

Hilarious! Kuwait is floating on oil. During the first war with Iraq, which was caused at least in part by the Kuwaitis drilling sideways into Iraqi or disputed territory, oil at the dock side in Kuwait cost three dollars a barrel to deliver to the tanker, when oil prices were about $18. What an economy, hoho!

Nice! But like in all countries where "economy" is only based on oil, in 40 years, no oil, no industrie, no economy, just some very expensive ruins...
