Description
The "Golden Hind", Flagship of Sir Francis Drake.
He was the first Englishman and first captain to circumnavigate the globe between 1577 and 1580.
At the start of his voyage this galleon still was
called the "Pelican", but Sir Francis Drake renamed it during this voyage to "Golden Hind", to express his deep gratitude to his patron Sir Christopher Hatton.
