Description

I saw they was makeing glass tiles here. The people That was running this would let any one comes and sit down to do this. This is a hand on art and demo. This person I took the shot over her shoulder never know I was there. I just walk up and as I was passing held out my hand over her shoulder and took the shot. The people that did see me looked at me in wonder but saw I did not hurm so did not say nothing. You see the color glass rods? They take them and break off what they need and lay them on the block. They have little glass beads too to put down . the tile is about the size of dominos. When they get the design they wish ; into the kiln it goes. The kiln is small I guess about 12 inches x 12 inches. Anyone can do this. You can make tile for your bathroom or for your table or the kitchet counter backslash if you wish. Looks like a lot of fun. guess you can desige a new type of dominos if you wish. What the people made; they will come back the next day and pick up the tile they made themself. thanks for every thing.

I used to do this when I was young(er). You need some specific materials, available in hobbyshops, and of course, a kiln (is it?). It sure was a lot of fun, and it produces magnificent objects and jewels. Actually we used the word 'email' for it (not e-mail;-)

Wonderful example shots. I know it takes a brave one to take shots because I'm too shy to do it. I admire you for doing it.
