Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

Can I use this next year on my Easter cards, Jan-Carel? I am quite ignorant of uncommon plants and trees, so I bought myself a book to educate myself. In addition, I have just upgraded to the VUE 5 ESPRIT rendering software, and got their BOTANICA program, which enables one to 'grow' one's own plants and trees, in 3D only of course. Once I get the correct requisite serial number I will hopefully get some rendering in. Meanwhile you can capture a great shot in natural reality in a minute or two, while these 'creation' programs can often take up to an hour to render a scene. Mmmm God still does it better, it seems. Regards,John.

Great detail of a very pretty flower. There also appears to be a crop of Mayflowers in the background. Well done.

This looks like what I would call a buttercup, but I can't find a photo online that looks like these. I'll just assume that you have once again added to my store of knowledge.
