Description


This is the type of basket the Pilgrems would have woven to hold a veriety of items. Made from salt grass it would have been woven when the grass was freash cut and as it dries it would have stiffened up to make the vessel more rigid. Enjoy,thanks for viewing and have a nice weekend.

Love to see those handmade baskets! In our family we had those constructing chairs and baskets as well, but the craftmanship gets lost!
