Description
This bird is a Bateleur I took a picture of the sign so I could remember.
common name: Bateleur
scientific name: Terelhopius ecaudatus
from: Senegal to Iraq & S Africa
Long-winged, colorful and almost tail-less this eagle is quite unlike any other bird of prey. its common name is French for "tightrope-walker," a reference to it's fast, from side to side. Courtship flights consist of fast pursuits, dives and even the occasional 360-degree lateral roll.
Thank you for taking the time to look, comment, and critique. All of that was strait from the sign. If you like it let me know I'll try to do it more often. Thank you again. Sean.
