this is a masterpiece. ive just come from looking at the study of italian masterpieces, (a link in the 'osity weekly newsletter), where Jenna Hoffstein [bluevenus], shows us some of the great works of great artists....and i have to say that this image, this render, when we look back at digital art 500 years from now, should be in an art gallery in italy someplace hanging right next to bottecelli and michealangelo and da vinci. honestly! if you go and read about these other artists and what they were supposedly trying to say in their art, and some of the raunchy stuff they basically covered up with their beautiful paints and styles, this image is every bit as beautiful in its own genre and the only thing different is that there is no trying to hide what the artists had in his imagination and his mind when he created it. go look at michaelangelo's David.. http://www.renderosity.com/news.php?viewStory=12988 and look down at the bottom of the right leg of the sculpture of david. what do you see there, hidden as it were, sort of covered up by the total sculpture? is that a phallus aimed up at davids ass? of course it is. so i guess what im trying to say is, this image of a dude straining his guts out in a filthy bathroom, is a masterpiece of its time, without trying to hide what the artist may have been trying to say, or not say for that matter. this is a great render. right out front, done exeptionally well, with nothing to hide. this is a masterpiece of digital, nearly 22nd century artwork. great job DD666. a treasure, this is! and i mean every word of this.
