Cool one. I've just been over at the blenderartists.org forum. They have been discussing creating sky maps for Blender. Vue d'Esprit has been used and some Terragen. I'll point them to some Mojo volumetrics pictures. I'll have to try getting some of these style skies out of Mojo for use elsewhere.

Now that's nice. I really like the way you are getting some updraught and downdraught into the cloud formations. The cloud beginning to drop in the centre left is beautiful. What I want to know is ...how are you doing it???

Bruce by far one of your best since you started with Vol. The terrain lighting, reflective waters & overall structure is spot on. 1 comment due to perception, it looks like that the cloud cover is very low to the terrain...raising it by about 10-20k would look "perhaps" better. What is creating the white down streaks in the waters reflections at the coastline? As I said its an amazing image. V

I agree with Woz on raising the cloud cover....but hey...This is superb Volumetric work Bruce!!...I've just spent 10 mins explaining to a friend how it "Is Not A Photogragh"!!.....^_^....cool!!

I like the fact the the clouds are so low. I gives a cool dramatic effect. I think it's your best so far Bruce! Splendid textures too.
