Description

I took this shot with my mom's HP 3.1MP on a trip to JHB. This is a zulu curving, the zulu ppl are very talented in this art form. It stands at 5'5" and is outside a curio shop at the Montrose truck stop just before Ladysmith, Kwazulu Natal. Should you come to South Africa be sure to have extra cash to buy some carvings to take home. They range in size from about 5cm high to well over 1.7m. and can cost as little as US$1.50. If you come to Kwazulu Natal a place that you have to see is the Wetlands of St. Lucia. This is a world heritage site and on your drive there the sides of the roads are littered with places selling carvings. We have all in all 7 World Heritage sites. Tx all for looking/viewing an expesially to those who read all!

This does look like an older carving. It is indeed a carving worth appreciating for the work and detail. Thanks for sharing the Old One with us.
