Description
Ok, an update on the previous one. This image is still far from finished but Id love to hear your comments on the texturing etc.

The clouds look great, though it seems like they should be pink closer to the horizon--although how one might go about that with Blender procedurals....? The textures on the machines are also nice, the variation works well. The handrail seems too contrasty, I've never seen a metal bar look quite like that.

I think some of the materials are OK. I agree about the handrail. The materials look a little murky. I kind of liked the nice cleaness of the last render. The problem with procedurals is creating variations in both large and small scales and keeping things very subtle. Also, although it's similar, I don't think this POV is as good as the last one. I use a program called Mojoworld which creates landscapes completely procedurally. I still have a lot to learn about Blender's other features but, being used to using procedurals, I can immediately see that a huge amount can be achieved with Blender's procedurals. It takes a bit of experimenting, especially with blending.

Man this is an awesome Blender scene. The attention to detail is amazing, with all of those weird corners, and cables! I love the modeling work you have done. On the handrails, maybe try playing with the spec channel in on of those textures, and using the var sliders to get it just right. But I really like this point of view and I love the buildings man. I hope to see another update soon.

yes. the handrail would be a great place to add some shiney. and shiney is awesome. however there is a slight distance problem. as the ground gets further away it gets darker but does not loose its texture. the ground also gets darker at the same place where the sky is getting lighter. also is the loosing of the ground on the right side of the picture purposefull? nice though.
