Description
Well, I was trying some new water stuff, aiming at the kind of thing 1Pearl gets. I think I went a little overboard on the transparency. Anyway, would love to know what you think and how I can make it better.
Thanks
Sacha

agree with you... maybe a less of transparency on the water may add more realism.. the overlay works great, maybe try to put your camera near lands, where the level of the water is low, so you can see the transparency and the deep water too ... btw still a wonderful landscape! (for that thing i'm workin' on)...

It got you a pretty cool effect...not natural, but cool nevertheless. Great colors...the terrain and surface map look really nice! Still a real eye pleaser!

Cool water! If you want my two cents this water colours could merge better with a beach; it should be better on a green tonality with that ter. About water realism "feel", quite perfect except some little pattern on frontside part (may be jpeg compression?) looks like to see some caustics underwater, nice: take in mind that caustics overlay give its best with a near two digits negative pitch

It is all a matter of taste, Sacha. Darn good clear and deep looking water - terrain's mighty fine, too! Only thing & I'll agree with superza: is some cross-hatching on the water surface - a TG artifact, I am sure.

really awesome!!!!!! /V/

I like it!...only critique is the already mentioned pattern on the water...yes, looks like a TG bug.

I'm not sure what causes the geometric patterns in the water. It has happened to me as well. What I would do to salvage an otherwise beautiful image would be to crank the pitch upward several notches showing only about one inch of the water and just enough to reveal the apex of the nearest landform. Then, you might consider converting the image to a pano. This may require some sun adjustments.

Very strange effect on the water (foreground), but not bad at all. I love the colours and also the transparency. Cool pov and lightning as well !
