"Swan Lake" by Cullen
Open full image in new tabDescription
This was shot at "Swan Lake Gardens" in Sumter, SC. The gardens span a highway with one side swampy with wandering paths and swan nests on small islands with cypress trees everywhere. The other side is a large lake with both black & white swans and Canadian geese swimming and preening. Both gardens have a huge selection of Irises growing all along the paths. I've photographed the swans in snow, in fall colors, and in summer lushness.

Oooh, there were many swans as well. The blue tone really gives the impression of moonlight. Swell job!!! Have a great day. #:O)

Wow, a vision in blue! I might even spell it bleu, it's so bold. I'd never had much contact with swans but found out recently that they can be quite agressive. Lots of contrast in the photo, and in the subject... :)

Hi Cullen! These are just beautiful!!! I love the presentation too! :o)b PS: In regard to my silent movie uploads, They have a tarp that someone sewed together, taking care to make the joining seams as inconspicuous as possible. It is pulled up on a system of pulleys and has a weighted piece of PVC pipe in the casing at the bottom. I too was amazed at the clarity I achieved (I used a tripod and experimented with various settings. I much prefer the ones before the great sky started to fade into darkness. I was totally delighted with the results and was sort of disappointed that not too many viewers seemed as tickled as I was. My daughter, Kate, told me it was very dark on her PC monitor and maybe others found it to be likewise. Anyhow the dancing Annabelle looked to me like a vision. Thanks for you support. I truly value it. :o)barbara
