Description
I tool leather for a living, and I attend a lot of historical re-creationist events like Renaissance Faires. Staff and patrons trying to stay in character for the public often stash sodas in odd crannies to keep them out of sight, sneaking sips when they can. Last night, I came up with this idea. a decorated faux "tankard" out of leather, lined with foamed plastic, to keep a soda cool and at hand. I thought it was kind of silly fun, and made a dozen or so for gifts to friends. Surprisingly well-received. By the end of the day today I had orders for 8 more at $25 each, and two vendors wanting to sell them for me at events across the country, and online. Came up with a name; the CanCealer (liked it better than the CanTainer).
The picture doesn't have anything to recommend it aesthetically, but I wanted to post it to commemorate it as a fun Idea that worked out quite well.

I'm thinking, the Can-Cealment or CANard might not be a better name? Thanks for your comment, and your interest. I don't know what the rules are about conducting business via the product gallery, but if anyone IM's or Emails me, I'll give them the name of the company that's going to sell them. Hopefully that won't violate any site rules. ps the aztec gold design isn't available for sale. It was just done for use on my personal Canard. I didn't get a chance to photo all the other designs before they were snapped up. I was up too late making them the night before to think of photos until they were nearly all gone.
