I think this is your best work, or at least one of my favorites! Wonderful terrain, perfect strata, and lovely ovrlay, great pov, and a very nice sky postwork. BRAVO!

Amazing! (I think the mud cracks are too large in scale but their patch dimension looks about right.) Iknow! I know! I continue to quibble where I insist an error and artistic license are two different things. It is like German and Pennsylvannia Dutch. I refuse to say German American It sticks in the craw as Hessian. I scratch my chin as I wonder if this could happen on Mars where mountains are taller. No! No! because then the mudcracks must be smaller still. I wonder if I am missing a fractal property of mudcracks where an overall pattern of big chasms is like this? No! they are not like erosion gullies where rivulets join and separate to create sizes. Could there be different strength of the mud and thus different plastic fracture? Now I must defer to the actual Material Scientists unless a photograph can be shown or testimony by geologists of viewing this in person is searchable. Until then maybe I can put this in Geology Fiction it is after all a very stong definite presentation in very graphic majesty.

Nice cracks ant smaller and you'll loose the effect...It is one of your best works.

The cracks don't bother me as much as the haze colour which doesn't match the sky at all. Sorry 1pearl, the terrain, view, strata and surfacing are all great but this one's not up to your usual high standard.

PoV, Terrain und Strata sind wunderbar. Das Wolken-PW passt farblich und vom Kontrast/Brightness nicht 100%ig zum Hintergrundterrain, aber nichts desto trotz klasse Bild Doreen! Deine letzten Bilder gefallen mir sehr!

My first thought was this would look more convincing if the distant haze matched the Atmo Blue. Excellent Balance and Composition.

Outstanding terrain, surfacing, overlays, and POV. The only thing I would have loved to have seen in this is the sky that should have been rendered. This one is beautiful but alas does not match the terrains colors.

Your point of view is outstanding; and, I agree about the postworked sky matching the atmosphere. Doreen, I would suggest you hold this POV and re-render the picture with Terragen clouds. To change it a bit, try lowering the sun for a new effect.

I agree about the haze/sky not matching too well, but I love the terrain and you should do more desert images, because this pov gives a huge feeling to the mountains.

looks a bit weird with the haze colour being so different to the sky photo - we want to see another version where you blend the sky a bit better - try rendering again as choronr says - but i would suggest render it with no clouds - then add the photo with with a blend mode like overlay or screen and it should feel more like a full picture rather than a terragen image placed ontop of a photo! - great job with the terrain/POV the surfaces look excellent
