Description

After visiting the Hasbruch forest we carry on to the coast, where the Weser river flows into the North Sea. This location is called Wremertief and the current low tide enables us to walk here on the sand that will be flooded after a few hours. Another peaceful shot, Jan-Carel. I love these transient 'sand ripples'. They always assure me that all my troubles are ( in the perspective of the infinite ) just as short lived. God can rebuild and renew our lives, even as we ( with a shorter view ) despair of them. Regards, John.

Someone saw this and began to work on an acoustic ceiling for his bandshell. After trying it with strings and horns he felt something was wrong and decided to try a more stepped approach to fit longitudinal instead of transverse waves. Soon he resolve that a semitransparent instead of opaque medium was required and he could not figure out how to hold the wet sand on his roof. Eeeh!??? Meanwhile the hydraulics engineer was experimenting with direct approaches by changing his beach to have layers of various density sand and pebbles. now he could remove a layer and look at the wave form at a different depth not just see the continuous resonance as the waves slowed on a beach. This "stacking" was now accesible.
