hmm..lost now. I know of the 1812 problems, and WWII, but not sure of 1876..thought they were at war with Turkey about that time..but very good artwork, wish I could draw a straight line..;)

THanks for all your positive comments...1876 is when the painting was done, i believe Smolensk was retaken in 1514.
