Gotta be about the butt-simpl-est-er animation you can ever make, that ... looks cool... er, uh...
Start with a Carrara sphere as a base object.
Using the Anything Grows modifier, grow.
500 hairs, 12 segments of 6 sides.
Hide the base object, hide the strands, leaving only the tips.
Assign a tip object (a cylinder).
Export to 3ds format.
Import into Bryce.
Bryce animation to QT, then Conversion to
Flash video and this transparent GIF movie.

Nice. Or you could do it in C4D using the "Explosion" modifier and export directly as a.swf file and save all that trouble. I know,........Blasphemer !

Fantastic work...when I first opened this one, there was only black and nothing else, and I was thinking...ok, whats up with this?...and then it explodes right in my face....which was a great effect. Excellent. V
