Description

Right, first things first, no I haven't disappeared. I've been gone a *long* time. After Azure Heavens (my last image), I started working on another sci-fi type poster of more epic proportions. It was going well, until my computer melted. Anyway, I managed to save a copy, but even this new shiny fast computer doesn't like the sheer size of the image, and I wasn't happy anyway. Long story short, I decided to start again from scratch. Quickly it became apparent that I needed to work on my surfaces, being that mine generally look like crud. So, I thought I'd take a slight detour and look at some of the great surfaces in the freebies section, to see what it is that makes them special, and I came up with this. Very quick to setup the scene, and quick to render, fairly. The surface is Berginsel by Kranky, the atmosphere is by yours truely, as is the terrain.
