Description

I dedicated this to Nancy because she is a wonderful person who has always supported me! I realize my Native American lady is not dressed historically accurate, but I love the outfit. It's Dreamwalker by Lady Littlefox at RDNA. I often wonder, as the trails my horse and I wander down disappear to development, what the Native Americans 200 years ago would think of what we have done to the country. Just about everywhere we used to ride is now a subdivision. We took a turn and ended up in someone's well-groomed backyard. You can't ride down the rodes - not even the dirt back roads - without almost getting run down by all the former cityfolk in the big trucks. Very sad. Thank you for your comments!!! They mean a lot to me!!!

Wonderful image--and I guess that's the price we pay for letting our cities deteriorate. It seems it's easier to "sprawl" than to "fix".

Great picture and a great, sad but true, commentary. I'm sure that Nancy will really appreciate this, historically accurate or not. The spirit is certainly in the right place.

Beautiful work. I agree with Rainfeather the accuracy was not important what was important was the MESSAGE you gave and where it came from within. With the Background free of structures just open space and she's pointing as far as the eyes can see. I love it

Your words echo that of Paulo Soleri when he mused about the blight of urban sprawl and suggested arcologies as a more ecologically responsible method.
