Description

"Andate ragazzi, io son con voi!" You really need an angel to fly in such a tight formation! Frecce Tricolori Italian aerobatic team, less the soloist who generally appears out of nowhere, flies over the thousand+ year old bell tower of the basilica of Santa Eufemia in Grado, July 2005. Nikon D70, Tokina 80-400 mm, AE at f6.3 and 1/1200s. Thanks for looking, Dan

Beautiful formation. My husband was in the US Air Force and we used to watch the "Thunderbirds" perform. Such a magnificent sight. Thank you for sharing this fantastic photo. HUGS!!!

Thanks everyody for your kind comments. I shot over 200 jpgs of the show that day and there a few good ones I will post later. Purtroppo con il campanile, l'unica che mostra due degli aeri che fumano sembra un po' sfuocata, l'autofocus delle volte ti gioca degli scherzi, sopratutto quando cerchi di seguire un oggetto veloce.

Excellent capture! I went to an air show in Galveston, Texas a few weeks ago and got a lesson on capturing these birds. That is a tight formation. Good job.
