Description

Okay, I think I'm getting closer to the effect I'm looking for. How's the subsurface scattering in this one? I also used Uwe's suggestion about an AO node on the outfit. Not sure if it can be detected or not. Let me know what you think and if I should continue the alien series. Freak, Sci Fi Morphs, Shard Armor, Alien Warrior at Daz3d. Overlords Unimesh by Orcadesign Studios Sky in Bryce by garyandcatherine Thanks for looking.

i would have to say that you achieved and impressive level of translucence to his skin. too bad there's no veins showing through, that would be cool...

cool looks dipped in slime-time after time.........nevermind- the eyes need just ever so tiny bit of shading- just a wee bit- they look a bit odd- the rest is subbliemie-run like hell!!!!

The alien series is good; by all means continue. The SSS in the hands, espesially between the knuckles, looks dead on, but you may need to tweak it in his pronged chin. The points look like jelly, but it should probably look more like a suffused halo around the shadow of a bone.

Kool stuff Rich, way better now, the SSS is really starting to work, but I have to agree with evinrude (motor boat engine ?) that the chin does seem a bit like jelly, probably all the rage on his home planet !!! well & ~Cheers~ :o)

Your alien series is definitely worth continuing. I like what you have been doing so far. The SSS on this one is definitely better than the last couple. As soon as the picture loaded, I noticed the SSS. Very nice.

He's awesome and something about his eyes freaks me out. I love his color and skin, tHough I have to confess my ignorance here, I'm new to poser and I don't know what subsurface scattering or AO nodes are. Someone want to email me with the condensed explanation? Be gentle, it's Friday after a hard week and my brain is 99% mush.

WOW mate that a damn cool skin effect! Though I meant AO nodes on the skin so you have shadows from the dress and specular nodes on the dress for matching highlight to the skin.... Must mention again the skin is amazing, very awesome setup! ~Uwe

Great POV and lighting. Fantastic character and excellent textures. I like the luminous skin. He has a lovecratfian feel. You should keep doing this alien series but don't forget the alien females... oh, you can forget about their suits, though. I'm not interested on alien fashion. 8-) A non-alien vote.
