Description
It's been a while since I uploaded anything around here...and the reason is partly because I don't have a camera and I've dried out on oldies to upload. Add to that a week with a lot of rain and clouds and the picture is complete.
Today however, we went back to the old cemetary in Whittington outside Chesterfield. I borrowed Robin's Nikon Coolpix 885 to snap some more shots of these old graves and headstones.
My own Nikon is still in the need of a doctor and I'm going to leave it in Chesterfield tomorrow.
This pile of stone in the photo is a mix of headstones and tombs that for one or another reason have fallen apart. The old part of this cemetary is left to destiny completely and while the ground is giving in, the tree roots are taking over and the headstone are falling.
I might add that the ground in the new part of this cemetary will go the same way in only a couple of decades.
Thanks for your comments on my last headstone photo. Morbid, I know...but it is a fascinating place.
Have a great weekend :D

Very nice lighting on the stone, it adds a very dramatic touch and softens the picture. Good shot. HUGS!!
