Description
I did some postwork with this one just to look if I could do what I had in mind. It isn't as perfect as it could be but it demonstrates my idea.

Wicked capture. I love it in black and white.

Awesome macro! Looks like one sharp plant. Im guessing you used either True Blur or Gaussian Blur on the background. And im guessing you did that on a duplicate layer and then you put the plant on top of that...either by using a layermask or the eraser-tool. A little tip would be to first use the marque-tool to select the background and not the "flower". That way you wouldnt have gotten that halo around it, and it would have looked even sharper. Just my 2 cents. Have a wonderful weekend. #:O)

It's a very nice and interesting motif. I like it very much.

I like this a lot; diminishing the background focuses the viewer's attention on that interesting plant, and overall turns a nice but not particularly striking original into something more special -- nice stuff!

Beautiful capture of this thorny part of the thistle! Beautiful work!
