Description

More of the BlackGlass idea with Paul Carlson's Plane Curve Traps and extended coaching for texture from Heather. Thanks Heather! UF and PS.. Thanks for viewing and commenting... (PostScript: I was just sure that "Plane Curve Traps" was Paul Carlson's work, but, I experienced a doubt and went back to the formula for confirmation: I see that I was simply wrong-[I am blushing as I write]-and that the actual author is Ken Childress. Others also contributed significantly to the set of Outside Coloring Algorithms found in kcc3.ucl in the UF Public Library, including Samuel Monnier, Mark Townsend, Damien Jones, Jos Leys, Toby Marshall, and, of course, Paul Carlson. I apologise for the inadvertent omissions.)....

Beautiful texture in the grey parts. It does give a bit of a "blues"-feeling. Very well done.

You're most welcome Daniel. Nice work with the shapes and masking and the texture adds good interest with a suggestion of pitted steel. I particularly like your transparent orbs which give an appearance of smoked glass. There's good contrast here and I like your composition very much ;)

I like the black pearl look and the pitted steel textures. Nice flowing lines on the thorns! This has a nice depth to it. Looks 3d. Shades of black, blue and grey. A nice trio of colors. Nicely composed. Your works never cease to amaze and inspire me. Thanks Daniel! :) Persevere...
