So do I, Rozanne. I hate them, but that doesn't make this any less funny, maybe even more so! Plus I've seen the stores at such times. You'd need a lion tamer's whip and chair to get through those crowds! Ha ha! Well done as always!!

Quite appropriate ! Summer clothes are offered at mad prices for a few days (so it is said !!!) before the big rush for the new season ! Do you feel a panic attack ? Dont worry , with the years it will become worse ! Trying to fit into gayly colored clothes meant to be worn by teeners ! Depressing !

I sympathize, Rozanne. However there always seems to be some sort of 'sale' going on somewhere in Glasgow, all through the year. My daughter, no doubt feeling realistic about another Scottish summer, was out searching for a new coat yesterday. Apart from sensible, adult styles, she could find nothing! I get to see a lot of shops when she indulges in 'retail therapy' Thankfully she is quite discerning about buying what she needs, rather than what she wants. Regards, John.
