Description

She waits in hope that her parents will return, they have been gone for so very long now. She remembers a fight so very loud that terrified her so much, then such a sound that to her young ears it defied description and a blinding flash of light, all she knew from that moment on was that the only people she ever knew and that had raised her were gone. Where she knew not, but she could feel his presence moreso then hers when the night rolled in and she lit the candles that never burned down. She understood it not, but knew somehow that he was close by. And so she waited sometimes travelers would come by and enter the gate house as it came to be known although she just knew it as home. However again she felt more then heard in her very bones and soul the fighting and the crys of the people that entered yet none ever came out. Yet when she overcame her fear and went to look there was no sign that anyone had ever entered and the only footprints left were hers alone. Yet tonight she feels that answers will be revealed as she has undergone a change that has all but snapped her mind and her grip on what is real and what is not, now hangs in the balance. For this very day all her hair has fallen out and a great mass of writhing bony tentacles have sprouted from her head and rustle and move of their own accord dancing to a breeze that she does not feel and the whisperings that have started since the night has begun to quicken. Nightbreeze, she had all but forgotten that word she knows it as a word that they called her by, Breeze of the Night awaken it is time for you to take your place as the child of the Gate and to go forth and lead the wicked to this place so they might be punished for the evil and avarice in their hearts. For there is much darkness within the world and it must be cleansed..........Daddy is that you? Something a bit darker at least from the storyline viewpoint. Something that came to me for the contest over at DSA called "Children of the Beast". All the details are over there and this is one of those last minute entries, hey been a busy week. That is my story. Anyway this picture ties in with a previous one in my gallery entitled "The Guardian to Dark World" and also builds upon a storyline written and developed by Armorbeast that is over at the Darker Realms side of DSA. As for Nightbreeze this is her first appearance as a child, she has been featured as an adult once in Mean, Irritable, Cranky and Bad Tempered and again with her second cousin twice removed in "In Need of a Date?" Thanks for stopping by and looking and for thy comments. Take care. Late.
