i think Newbie is correct,tricolored blackbird, see http://www.bobsteelephoto.com/Species/trbl.html for pics without twigs obscuring the wing patch. but the best way to answer such questions is to buy yourself this book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1582380902/002-8174399-1404014?v=glance&n=283155 the Golden Guide is still the best all-round book on birds of the USA.
