Anybody who has read the books of Patrick OBrian or C.S.Forester will be fascinated by the ships of this period. Few of these wooden vessels have survived the centuries. Computers and 3D design programs are new tools in the hand of artists to manage the challenge of realistic seascapes. My website is dedicated to show an attempt at creating classic seascapes with new instruments.BIOCheck out my website www.age-of-sail.com

Beautiful! Red sky in the morning, sailor take warning... (I think that's the way it goes, anyway)

Nice image. What I like is that you put the ships into the water in a believable way. I've seen so many pictures where a precious ship model almost hovers over the Vue or Bryce oceans with their keels hardly under the water; in reality they certainly would have been capsized. Your ships lying right into the water; slanted a little bit to the port side and the bow dives in a slight way into the bow wave. Good expression of the powers exerted by wind and water on the ship. Very dynamic view. However the image could a little bit sharper.
